Croatia Geothermal – Renewable Electricity

In August 2023 Star Energy made its first overseas geothermal investment through an acquisition of 51% of A14 Energy Limited (increased to 71% in January 2025) that owns the Ernestinovo exploration licence in the Pannonian Basin in Northern Croatia. The Croatian subsidiary, IGeoPen d.o.o, was then awarded a further two exploration licences at Sječe and Pčelić in October 2023. The exploration licences are based in the Drava depression geological region, which is in the Southwestern area of the Pannonian basin.

Ernestinovo

• A 77km2 exploration licence in Pannonian Basin with 3 deep wells drilled; 250km of 2D seismic data reprocessed and interpreted
• Licence obligations satisfied

Sječe

• A 33km2 exploration licence in Pannonian Basin with 9 deep exploration wells drilled; 356km of 2D seismic, c.20km2 of 3D seismic
• 5-year exploration term

Pčelić

• A 33km2 exploration licence in Pannonian Basin with 2 deep exploration wells drilled; 262km of 2D seismic
• 5-year exploration term
